О литкритике: почему ей не стать честной?

Ведь критика сегодня откровенно "факультативна", это некий привесок к лит. процессу, ее влияние на ход процесса пренебрежимо мало. Так почему же, спрашивается, ей, еще менее читаемой, чем худ. литература, не стать, наконец, честной?
